Renovi Mexico is a Mexico-based company incorporated in 2017. Its main activities are acquisition and sale of distress assets from Financial Institutions to wholesalers and individuals.

The company has decided to work with a local partner, a real estate investment firm based in Houston, Texas, who is primarily focused on distressed and/or off-market assets acquisition.
This will allow Renovi to have not only a better understanding of the local market but also to speed up our market penetration.

Renovi US identifies off market Leads from a well diversified group of sellers. Once Leads fulfil investment criteria and are approved by Renovi´s investment Committee, the Company buys, fixes and sells them. On the other hand, some Leads could be part of our “buy&hold” strategy also.

Alejandro Obregón
Founder and Senior Managing Partner
Alejandro is founder and CEO of RENOVI MEXICO. Renovi began its operations in 2017 as a real estate investment platform. The
company buys and sells distressed assets (litigious, credit and successful bidders rights and assets). At present, the company has made over USD10MM investments and has managed 1000+ assets.
Before founding RENOVI, Alejandro was VP and Legal Director at Nexxus Capital (the largest private equity fund in Mexico). In Nexxus, he participated in several M&A deals, debt issuances and capital raising. Also, he advised several private capital funds in Mexico, USA, Spain and Luxemburg. In addition, he was in charge of the legal department in many private companies and litigated in
civil matters for 5 years.
He got his Law degree from Universidad La Salle and postgraduate studies in International law from Georgetown University in Washington D.C
Alejandro Gorozpe
Co-Founder and Managing Partner
At present, Alejandro is Co-founder and Managing Partner of RENOVI MEXICO and RENOVI US, where he has an active participation within the Investment Committee for both Renovi Mexico and Renovi US. Also, he is in charge of finance and accounting for both companies.
He joined Nexxus Capital (the largest Private Equity Fund in Mexico) in 1995 and has 25+ years of experience in structuring private capital deals. In Nexxus, Alejandro is board member of several companies in which Nexxus participates and invests, in addition, he has an active participation in several investment committees of CKDs (Certificados de Capital de Desarrollo).
Before joining Nexxus, Alejandro worked for one of the most important international auditing offices in the world in different areas such as accounting, finance and auditing, for 5 years.
He has a Public Accounting degree from Universidad Iberoamericana (Mexico)
Roberto Obregón
Renovi US – General Manager
Roberto has 20+ years of experience in the financial sector. He worked for international financial institutions such as BNP Paribas and BBVA. Also worked for BBVA Bancomer. Roberto has a strong experience in Corporate and Investment Banking where he supported large corporates from several industries and sectors.
From 2000-2003, he worked for BBVA (Spain) in the Debt Capital Market department. Roberto participated in several deals from structure finance, debt issuances, to securitization and LBOs, among others.
In 2006, Roberto joined BNP Paribas in Mexico for 10 years. He was VP in Corporate and Investment Banking where he supported his clients with value added solutions such as M&A, Structure Finance, DCM, Export Finance, Trade Finance, Fixed Income, Syndicated Loans, among others. After BNP Paribas, Roberto joined Mexican-Brazilian Fintech (Visor ADL) in 2017 where he was Head of Corporate Sales. He had an active support in the Series A with positive results.
He is also founder and Managing Partner of the Saudi Smart Business (international consultancy firm). His activities are focused mainly on marketing, sales, finance, legal, and accounting.
He got his Management degree from ITAM and a postgraduate study (Diploma) from ITESM in “Desarrollo del Líder”.

Manuel Juárez
Co-Founder and Managing Partner
Manuel has over 20 years of experience in construction and project development. He has worked for several infrastructure companies such as ICA, one of the largest infrastructure company on Mexico and Latin America; Rizzani de Eccher USA, Italian general contractor focused on engineering, infrastructure and building construction; Keller Williams, one of the largest international real estate franchises and Balfour Beatty, a British multinational infrastructure group.
Working at ICA, from 2000 to 2009 he was appointed to several projects including airports, hydroelectric plants and tunnels. In 2009 he joined Rizzani de Echer, USA as Business Development Director.
From 2011 to 2016 he was involved in the acquisition of construction companies in Peru and USA and oversaw their operations as Operations Director. He also worked in the construction of commercial buildings for Balfour Beatty USA.
Currently, Manuel serves as Managing Director of URBANA REAL ESTATE, a real estate investing firm based in Houston, TX, focused on acquiring distressed properties in highly competitive markets and redeveloping them to maximize retail value.
He has a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Universidad Regiomontana (Monterrey, Mexico) and both a MBA and a Master in Finance from Hult International Business School (Boston, MA / Shanghai, China)

20+ years in construction; Project management; Contract Management; Strategy and Business development; Negotiations and subcontractor selection and management.
Over 35 on and off market real estate transactions in Florida and Texas.
Managerial experience of business units and corporate start-ups; supervising P&L accounts for $200 million and an organization in excess of 180 people.
